I began as a teacher back in January 1996, and I’ve been fortunate to serve as an administrator for nearly 20 years either as an Assistant Principal or Principal. It has always been a goal of mine to open a new high school. As an educator, I’ve always had mini-goals, or bucket-list type things. Opening a new high school, building the foundation from day 1, has been one of my ultimate goals. The past successes at my current and previous schools have contributed to giving me such an opportunity with opening Seaforth.

To that end, we have the following goals for Seaforth:

Develop a vision with a focus on promoting learning and teaching for students, faculty, and staff.
Foster a community and family atmosphere where all stakeholders feel welcomed and respected from the beginning.
Ensure that each of our students obtains the skills necessary as they prepare for life beyond high school.
Create a positive, safe, and healthy learning culture where every student is treated with respect and dignity.
Support our faculty, staff, and students in growing professionally and academically, where learning never ends.
Build trust among all stakeholders with the understanding that our priority will be meeting the needs of our students.

Jason Amy

Served five years in the USMC after high school. Learned the importance of discipline, leadership by example and commitment to goals are critical components for success! Positive mindset overcomes most obstacles in life.

I am the athletic director (Seaforth High School, Pittsboro, NC), coached various sports and taught the past 20 years and still love every second!

I obtained my national board-certified teaching certification thirteen years ago and still value the core principals of the NBCT recognition. I completed and earned the Certified Master Athletic Administrator ((CMAA) last year. I have been the Unified coordinator for Special Olympics the past six years. I build awareness and involvement for students with and without intellectual disabilities to enjoy sports and friendships.

Voted by my peers as “2020 Teacher of the Year” for my high school. I believe collaboration and teamwork across the school leads to more community involvement and student engagement.

Brandin O'Neill

Family drives a lot of the decisions I make in my life. Being the oldest of 5, I was raised in upstate New York with an extended family of over 30 cousins, all located within miles of my home. I graduated from Michigan State University in which I rowed on the crew team & graduated with an engineering degree in 1996. That brought me to the Raleigh area 25 years ago.

I’ve been a private business owner with one of my brothers for over twenty years. Much of what I learned building and growing my business led me to start Hawks Nation in 2020. Hawks Nation is a proud community supporting Seaforth High School student-athlete values, establishing honored traditions & promoting school unity and spirit to show that student success is based on the collection of all of us.

My husband and I have 3 children, which will all attend Seaforth. I hope to bring Hawks Nation the community strength that family has brought to me throughout my life. Go Hawks!
